Umi Japanese Cuisine is hands down the best sushi spot in DC! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was sleek yet cozy, and the staff was so attentive. I ordered the Spicy Crab Roll and Salmon Nigiri—every bite tasted fresh, like the seafood was just caught. The Tuna Inside-Out Roll had the perfect balance of flavors, and the presentation was stunning. Worth every penny; I’ll be coming back weekly!

I’ve tried countless Japanese spots in the area, but Umi blows them all away. Their commitment to fresh ingredients is obvious—my Scallop Nigiri was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth, and the Shrimp Tempura Roll was crispy (not greasy at all!). The service was quick, and the atmosphere felt upscale without being stuffy. If you love sushi, this is non-negotiable. 10/10!
